Loewen keys comeback vs. Red Sox

THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
BOSTON -- Canadian Adam Loewen took advantage of the stumbling Boston Red Sox on Wednesday.
The native of Surrey, B.C., hit a two-run single off hard-throwing Daniel Bard to lift the Toronto Blue Jays to a 5-4 win over the Red Sox, who lost for the sixth time in seven games.

Source: Leafs, Schenn close to deal

Sportsnet's Nick Kypreos has confirmed an earlier report that the Toronto Maple Leafs are close to signing defenceman Luke Schenn and could have the deal done as early as Friday.
