BOSTON -- Canadian Adam Loewen took advantage of the stumbling Boston Red Sox on Wednesday.
The native of Surrey, B.C., hit a two-run single off hard-throwing Daniel Bard to lift the Toronto Blue Jays to a 5-4 win over the Red Sox, who lost for the sixth time in seven games.
Loewen has five hits in five games since joining the Blue Jays from triple-A Las Vegas as a September callup.
