The Los Angeles Kings and Drew Doughty have come to terms.The defenceman has agreed to an eight-year contract with the club, according to Sportsnet's Nick Kypreos.The deal is worth $56 million.
Doughty, who was the Kings first pick (second overall) in the 2008 draft, has 126 points in 239 games with the club.
A restricted free agent, Doughty missed all five of Los Angeles' pre-season games as negotiations dragged on.
