AUSTRALIAN road travellers are expected to make a comeback in 2011, spurred by a 30-year high in caravan production, highly competitive domestic tourism deals and greater certainty around retirement savings.
Proving the resilience and popularity of touring holidays, Australian caravan, camper trailer and motorhome production in 2010 increased by 32 per cent to 21,164 new units – a 30-year record.
