US Open champion Sam Stosur and Vera Zvonareva have booked their places in the season-ending WTA Championships.
The pair’s qualification leaves just one spot in the eight-woman field up for grabs – but it will not go to Australian Open champion Kim Clijsters.
The WTA have confirmed that no wild card will be offered to the event, meaning Clijsters, whose injury-hit season means she has not qualified automatically, will not be in Istanbul.
