Ian Somerhalder has revealed that his character Damon Salvatore on The Vampire Diaries struggles with love. The actor spoke to Zap2it about the vampire’s difficulties with romance, saying that Damon has been rejected so many times that he may eventually just give up on living. “Being in love with two people at the same time that don’t love you and look exactly alike, I think it’s just building up to this place where this poor guy snaps,”
