Francis stymies Jays in homecoming

TORONTO - Pitching in Canada for the first time in his career, Jeff Francis pained the Toronto Blue Jays for six innings, but it was the discomfort manager John Farrell felt in his left side later in the contest that was the true concern Thursday night.
Farrell exited the dugout briefly during the eighth inning, returned for the top of the ninth, and then left to be examined in the bottom of the frame at the urging of bench coach Don Wakamatsu.
