Apr. 14 – The governments of India and China today agreed to resume high-level defense exchanges after Beijing consented to giving an Indian division commander from India’s Northern Army Command a proper visa, and not a stapled one.
The agreement ends a year-long Indian suspension of high-level military-to-military exchanges with China after the same Northern Army Commander was to be given a stapled visa. The reasoning for this was that since China provides stapled visas to residents of
